Deals lawyer Ben joins Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banks Corporate & Structured Finance Division
Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banks Corporate & Structured Finance has appointed lawyer Ben Clare to provide dedicated legal support to its Corporate & Structured Finance division (CSF) throughout the UK.
Ben, who will be based in Manchester, joins from law firm Addleshaw Goddard where he was worked in the banking team. He has over 10 years' experience in banking law. He started his career at City firm Stephenson Harwood and spent time working in its Hong Kong office and on secondment to Royal Bank of Scotland plc, before moving to Manchester six years ago to join Addleshaw Goddard.
In his new role he will advise the CSF division on deals such as corporate refinancings, acquisition finance and property finance transactions, and will also work on longer-term strategic initiatives.
Ben says: "This newly-created role offers the exciting opportunity for me to become involved in key decisions on a broad spectrum of transactions as well as helping to define CSF's policy on certain legal issues."
