Let's get started. Get your hands (and fingertips) on the new app as quickly and easily as possible by looking out for a message telling you it's ready.

In the meantime, here's a few tips for an easy and speedy upgrade:

  • Update your mobile operating system
Your device will need to be running at least iOS 9.3 or Android 4.4 (KitKat) to support the new app.
  • Keep your details up to date
Make sure we have your current contact number and address, so you get all the info you need.
  • Switch on app ‘auto updates’
With your automatic updates turned on, getting the app will be much easier. It usually sits in the ‘settings’ menu, although this may vary from device to device.
  • Have your customer number handy
The first time you use your new app, you'll need to re-register. To help, we'll text you your customer number the day before your app comes out. You can also register with your personal details, your phone and internet banking details, your registered mobile number, your email address and your credit or debit card.
  • Register automatically for phone and internet banking
The new app signs you up for phone and internet banking as soon as you re-register, giving you more ways to bank.

You can make payments up to £25,000 directly from the app (subject to available balance, of course). If you're already registered for internet or telephone banking, you can carry on as normal. If you are a business customer you will need your phone or internet banking details and your customer number. If you are using a device that doesn't support this, don't worry, you can register for internet banking or log in if you are already registered.
