Project management firm grows with Bank support

7th September 2012

A leading Scottish project management training specialist is set to expand its international reach after agreeing a deal with Clydesdale Bank.

20/20 Business Insight, which is headquartered in Dundee but has a number of offices throughout the UK and worldwide, has secured a six-figure sum in banking facilities to help it build on its recent strong performance.

The company has enjoyed growth of 20 to 40 per cent annually since being founded in 2003, and now employs 25 staff across its sites in Dundee, Aberdeen, Manchester, London, Prague and Houston, Texas.

Turnover is projected to increase to £2.9 million in 2012-13 from £2.3 million for 2011-12.

As a globally registered training provider for the Project Management Institute (PMI) and APM, 20/20 Business Insight’s expert trainers have delivered programs in around 20 countries from the UK to the United States, Norway, France, Mexico, Venezuela and Australia.

Tony Marks, group managing director of 20/20 Business Insight, said: “After nine years of sustained growth, we wanted to expand our international business in order to increase sales.

“When looking for a new funding partner, it was important for us to find a bank interested in a long term relationship. Clydesdale Bank was interested in working with us long term and had the local decision making ability we were seeking to help us expand further, internationally.

“Now with the Bank’s support we can reinvest in our people, products and services for the next phase of growth.”

George Corstorphine, business partner at Clydesdale Bank’s Dundee Business Banking Centre, said: “20/20 Business Insight has already established itself as a leading provider of project management training internationally, running courses for a number of multinationals, including Schlumberger, BP International, and the Wood Group.

“We believe our facilities and support will provide the company with the flexibility it requires to target exciting new markets around the world, and we look forward to a long and successful relationship with 20/20 Business Insight as it achieves even greater growth.”

20/20 Business Insight works with its international client base to optimise project and people performance through a range of internationally-recognised training and consulting services. It runs more than 200 project management courses each year, including open events or bespoke sessions for a wide range of clients including Centrica Energy, Halliburton, Rolls Royce, the Scottish Government and Wood Group.
