Yorkshire Bank Midlands strengthens specialist team

Yorkshire Bank has appointed Ian Mansell as director of acquisition finance, Midlands region.

Ian is a well known figure within the corporate finance arena across the West Midlands and brings with him more than ten years experience in this field, including four years with the Bank of Scotland.

In his new role, Ian is tasked with assisting businesses looking for advice and funding for corporate acquisitions, and will be based from Yorkshire Bank's existing offices in Waterloo Street, Birmingham.

The continued growth of the specialist and acquisition finance team consolidates Yorkshire Bank's push into this sector and illustrates its desire to offer fully integrated financial solutions to both existing and prospective customers.

Ian Mansell comments, "I am delighted to join such a strong and well regarded team, committed to working with the local professional community.  My role will have a specific focus on acquisition finance opportunities, where I believe we have a real appetite to deliver innovative and effective funding packages".

By offering an acquisition finance facility to its customers, who are referred to as members, the bank aims to attract new business at a key time in a company's development. This service also adds to the bank's current business services which range from commercial lending, treasury and wealth management, as well as private and transaction banking.

Ian Howey, regional director of Yorkshire Bank's acquisition finance team in the Midlands is pleased to welcome Ian to the team adding "Ian joining our team is a significant step for us and brings the number of Midlands acquisition finance directors to four.  The bank has great ambitions across the corporate banking sector and acquisition finance is integral to that strategy."

Over the last two years Yorkshire Bank has focused its activities on developing a new model of banking that is attractive to private individuals as well as corporate customers - where integrated business solutions are offered to commercial businesses, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals via a network of  innovative Yorkshire Bank FSCs.
