Yorkshire Bank Expands Corporate Team
Yorkshire Bank has made a new appointment in line with its expansion plans for its Corporate & Structured Finance team in the Midlands.
Jamie Stuart, who was previously with Bank of Scotland, has joined as an associate director in corporate banking and will be based in Birmingham. His new role will include identifying potential opportunities and arranging funding packages for medium and larger-sized corporates across the Midlands, in line with Yorkshire Bank’s commitment to expanding its lending in this area.
Jamie qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in Birmingham before moving to Bank of Scotland in 2002 where he gained considerable experience in providing both debt and equity packages to medium and larger-sized businesses.
John Newman, area director for corporate banking, said: “Yorkshire Bank has been very active in supporting deals despite the current market. Jamie’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to continue to support businesses in the region as we build on our profile as a strong, well capitalised bank.”
