Manchester team scoops top dealmakers award

Yorkshire Bank’s Corporate and Structured Finance (CSF) team in Manchester has won a top honour at the prestigious Insider Dealmakers Awards.

It has been named as Acquisition Finance Team of the Year in recognition of its role as a ‘bank that is truly open for business’. The awards are organised by North West Business Insider magazine and were presented at a dinner at Manchester Central attended by more than 900 people.

Regional director for CSF, Paul Shephard said, “Yorkshire Bank has made incredible strides over the past year, backing deals in £10m to £100m deal market.  We have a highly respected team who fully deserve this accolade.”

The Manchester CSF team has backed deals worth over £200m in the past year. They include the £12.5 million secondary buy-out of fitted furniture specialist Neville Johnson Group by Key Capital Partners, the investment by ISIS Equity Partners in online holiday retailer On the Beach, the £9.5 million management buy-out of KDC Group, a specialist demolition and decommissioning contractor, which was backed by Barclays Ventures and the £27m MBO of Traveljigsaw.
