Insurance banking specialist joins Clydesdale Bank
Clydesdale Bank Corporate & Structured Finance has appointed Paul Hambrook as director at its London office.
Paul was previously a corporate director in the insurance team at Royal Bank of Scotland. In his new role his main focus will be to help to develop relationships with mid market insurance businesses, particularly the broker market.
As a career banker, Paul has 20 years’ experience working with both Barclays and RBS initially in their regional corporate offices before moving to the City of London in 2001, where he specialised in the insurance industry. He has been particularly involved with mergers and acquisitions involving brokers, underwriters, closed non life and service companies.
Andrew Merrifield, regional director for Clydesdale Bank Corporate & Structured Finance in London, said: “Paul has a strong banking background, particularly in the insurance sector. His appointment will bring added strength to our insurance sector team, which is already a key player in financing mid-market deals, and will help us to build our client base in the insurance sector.”
