Russell joins Yorkshire Bank’s deals team

Yorkshire Bank has appointed Russell Oliver as a director in its Corporate & Structured Finance team in Manchester.

Russell joins from Bank of Scotland where he started his career 15 years ago as a graduate trainee. He has specialist knowledge of funding mergers and acquisitions and during his time with the bank, he spent a year managing its leveraged finance team in Amsterdam before launching a leveraged finance team in Stockholm. Since he returned to the UK two years ago he has been area director of its real estate team in Leeds, managing a team providing funding for the Yorkshire property market.

Andy Taylor, regional director with Corporate & Structured Finance, said: “Russell’s knowledge of the deals market, both in the UK and in Europe, and his experience of working with private equity clients make him ideally suited to join the team. With Yorkshire Bank having established itself as a key force in acquisition finance, we are continuing to build our team and further develop our work with corporate clients.”
