Working together to make a difference
On 1st February 2008 Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks joined forces to announce the launch of a brand-new charity partnership initiative with Help the Hospices (opens in a new window). Help the Hospices is the hospice movement's national charity supporting over 200 local hospices across the UK. Hospice care is provided free of charge to patients with life limiting or terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care touches the lives of 1 in 3 people.
Focusing on one cause
This exciting partnership was launched with a donation of £10,000 from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks and a commitment that all fundraising by employees will be matched pound for pound. Since 1st February 2008 we have raised over £820K for Help the Hospices and 110 local hospices. The Hospices supported and their matched over can be found below.
Help the Hospices – making a real difference
Each year UK hospices need over £400 million just to keep going, making hospice care once of the UK's largest community fundraising causes, which is why our help is essential.
