The great benefits of Savings Account Plus are only available when you have Current Account Plus:

  • because these two accounts are linked, you can get to your cash easily through 24 Hour Telephone Banking and Internet Banking*

  • transfer money instantly between your Savings Account Plus and your Current Account Plus when it suits you

  • if you are registered for Internet Banking you can set up a regular transfer into your Savings Account Plus and watch your savings grow by viewing your account online

  • interest is calculated on a daily basis, and is paid on the last business day of each calendar quarter

Just call into your nearest Yorkshire Bank branch where one of our friendly advisors will tell you everything you need to know. They'll make it really easy to open your Savings Account Plus.

If you do not hold a Current Account Plus one of our Branch Advisors will be able to open an account for you. You'll need to bring with you some identification, like a passport or photocard driving licence. You'll also need proof of your address, such as an up to date utility bill or council tax bill. Some other documents are also acceptable - ask in branch for more details. If you're an existing customer you may also be required to produce identification.

*Yorkshire Bank's 24 Hour Telephone Banking and Internet Banking services may be temporarily unavailable during routine periods of maintenance. For your security, calls may be monitored or recorded.

**Gross Rate interest is the interest payable without taking account of the deduction of income tax. For most customers tax will be deducted at the lower rate prevailing at the time of payment (currently 20%).

#AER. Annual Equivalent Rate illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year.

Savings Account Plus is only available with Current Account Plus and is operated via Yorkshire Bank's 24 Hour Telephone Banking and Internet Banking service only. You cannot deposit or withdraw money from your Savings Account Plus in any branch. Current Account Plus is only available to those aged 16 or over, subject to status.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme

Yorkshire Bank is a trading name of Clydesdale Bank PLC which is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme established under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. In respect of deposits with a UK office, payments under the scheme are limited to 100% of the first #35,000 of a depositor's total credit balances with the Bank.
